On course for innovation with a new lathe
BUPI Golser optimises the production processes with the current EMCOTURN E65 from the manufacturer EMCO in Hallein with a CNC control from SIEMENS.
As general overall objectives of the new lathe’s field of application, the targeted efficiency efforts (time/cost/benefit relevance) with simultaneous quality improvement (precision) can now be defined and successfully implemented.
Where previously several machine tools were used in the production of cleaning systems as well as in the locksmith’s shop or contract manufacturing of high-precision components, the EMCOTURN E65 now concentrates many work processes (turning, drilling, milling, engraving).
By using this new EMCOTURN E65 lathe, BUPI Golser is able to further expand its quality and innovation standards and thus continue to demonstrate its unconditional customer orientation in the future.
The technical features of the EMCOTURN E65 can be summarised as follows:
Main spindle:
-high drive power
-compact, thermostable design
-large speed range
-spindle connection KK6
-rod passage diameter 65 mm
Tool turret (highlight equipment):
-fast 12-fold servo turret with very short switching times for standardised VDI30 or VDI40 tools
-all stations can accommodate driven tool holders for drilling/milling or tapping operations
– the operator can influence the swivel speed at any time
Tailstock (highlight equipment):
-A fully automatic tailstock is available for supporting slim components. It is moved hydraulically over a length of 500 mm.
-The roller center punch with MK4 taper is taken up directly in the tailstock body. This guarantees compactness and maximum stability.
Sinumerik 828D:
-High-performance CNC control for maximum accuracy and machining speed Thanks to a flexible CNC programming language and the unique ShopTurn work step programming, both high-volume parts and individual workpieces can be programmed and machined with the greatest possible efficiency.
